⚠️ IMPORTANT: By using Catfish Bait, you agree to these Terms. Catfish Bait is an informational and educational tool. It is NOT a law enforcement service, private investigator, or legal advisor. Do not use this platform for stalking, harassment, or any illegal activity.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using catfishbait.app ("the Service"), operated by T3kniQ LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and T3kniQ LLC.

2. Service Description

Catfish Bait provides AI-powered tools for analyzing online communications, photos, phone numbers, usernames, and other digital information to help users assess potential romance scam indicators. Our tools include but are not limited to:

Guided questionnaire and deception risk scoring
AI-powered message analysis for manipulation patterns
Reverse image search and AI face detection
EXIF metadata extraction and analysis
Phone number VoIP/burner detection
Username cross-platform search
ID document verification
IP tracking via generated bait links

The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Results are generated by AI and automated systems and may contain errors, false positives, or false negatives. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, are legally capable of entering into binding agreements, and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use Catfish Bait to:

Stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual
Conduct illegal surveillance or violate any person's reasonable expectation of privacy
Investigate persons under 18 years of age
Violate any applicable law, statute, ordinance, or regulation
Impersonate another person or entity
Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service
Use results as evidence in legal proceedings without independent professional verification

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account termination without refund and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

5. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

5.1 Not Legal Advice

Nothing provided by Catfish Bait constitutes legal advice. We are not attorneys, law enforcement, or licensed private investigators. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

5.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

AI-generated analyses may be inaccurate. A "low risk" score does not guarantee a person is legitimate. A "high risk" score does not confirm fraud. Results should be considered one data point among many, not a definitive conclusion.

5.3 Not a Substitute for Professional Help

If you believe you are a victim of fraud, contact local law enforcement, the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at ic3.gov, or the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

5.4 Third-Party Data

Some features rely on third-party APIs and databases. We do not control the accuracy or availability of third-party data and assume no responsibility for errors or outages from these services.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, T3KNIQ LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless T3kniQ LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, infrastructure, AI models, algorithms, branding, and code comprising Catfish Bait are the exclusive property of T3kniQ LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written consent.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, suspected illegal activity, or abuse of the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused paid features are non-refundable upon termination for cause.

10. Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card information. All purchases are one-time payments (not subscriptions). Because our tools provide instant AI-generated results, refunds are generally not available after results have been delivered. If you experience a technical issue that prevented tool use, contact support within 7 days at john@t3kniq.com.

11. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina. You waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in these courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
